This is the Home of the Springfield Massachusetts Area Local 497 of the American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO. We represent approximately 950 postal and private sector employees in the clerk, maintenance, motor vehicle services and support services crafts. Our major location is the Network Distribution Center / Processing & Distribution Center located at 190 Fiberloid Street in Springfield, Massachusetts. Our private sector location is the Alan Ritchey Incorporated plant in Chicopee, Massachusetts. As an Area Local we also represent a number of Associate Post Offices in Western Massachusetts.
